Stewart Gillan prays for Peace from Jerusalem

Posting from the rooftop at St George’s, praying again for peace in a time of war. This on a day of prayer and introspection during the season of Lent, the month of Ramadan, and the Fast of Esther before Purim. May our faiths help us to come together before the God of life. I reflect on the danger of ‘permanent war’ for nations, of letting it become an identity, and on the vital need for us to sustain our vision and prayers for peace and its benefits, honouring the sanctity of life of all equally. Our prayer each week, in Arabic, Hebrew, and English is, ‘God of peace in your wisdom, give us the will to seek peace.
