Christian Aid, and some of the Scottish church partners are holding an online prayer event to hear from partners in Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territory and to pray for peace. Rev Muriel Pearson, of St Andrew's Tiberias unites with Nadia Giol, a Palestinian Israeli Peacemaker of Sindyannna.

About the event

On the 24 October, 7-8:30pm, join Christian Aid Scotland and some of our Scottish church partners online as we pray for peace in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The vigil will include input from our partners in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories and is part of a worldwide prayer movement.

Nadia Giol is a Palestinian Israeli Peacemaker and Social Activist. She works as co-manager and principal facilitator of the Visitors’ Centre at Sindyanna of the Galilee. Sindyanna is an NGO working with Arab and Jewish women as a fair trade producer of olive oil and other products such as honey, carob and soap.

She is a professional trainer and facilitator for multicultural groups in a variety of topics: Non-violent Communication, environmental education, listening circles and self-awareness.

Muriel Pearson is Church of Scotland mission partner based in Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. She serves the congregation of St Andrew’s Jerusalem and Tiberias, is chaplain to the Scots Hotel and to Tabeetha School in Jaffa and works with partner organisations in Israel-Palestine to highlight their work in Scotland through blogging and partner letters. Muriel is on the board of Place For Hope and has an interest in NVC, person-centred listening, and in the capacity of individuals to choose peace with justice, and collaborate with others.
